Accounts
You must provide a working email, your name, and a password of at least 8 characters. You choose financing or escrow, and a business or individual account type. You are responsible for keeping the password private and for activity under your session.
We may suspend an account that is used for fraud, for activity we cannot verify, or when required to protect other users. A suspended account cannot stay signed in.
The corporate email we issue is for platform communications and for signing in to Melio when you connect a bank. We may stop delivering it if the account is closed or suspended.
Eligibility and verification
Deposits, financing applications, and escrow holds require completed identity verification. Financing applications also require a bank connection you confirm after linking it on Melio. You agree that the documents and details you submit are yours and are accurate.
Financing
A financing application is a request. It is not an offer, a commitment, or an approval. We may approve it, reject it, or ask for a clearer description. Any amount, term, or fee that applies to an approved request will be communicated as part of that review. Minimum request amount in the dashboard is $1,000.
Deposits and withdrawals
Balances in the dashboard are our records of your available funds. Deposits start at $1. A withdrawal cannot exceed the available balance and may be delayed or reversed if it looks erroneous or unauthorized. Withdrawals are sent to the bank you connected. We do not collect a new destination account on the withdrawal form.
Escrow
An escrow names a merchant, a purpose, and an amount of at least $1. Funding it moves that amount from your available balance into a hold. Until it is funded, you may cancel it, and no money moves.
After funding, you cannot cancel the hold yourself. Our team may release it to the merchant you named or refund it to your available balance. Release does not put the money back into your balance. Refund does. Opening or funding an escrow is not itself a payment to the merchant.
You are responsible for the merchant name and amount you enter. We settle the hold based on the record in your account and on the review of that request.
Acceptable use
You may not use the platform for unlawful payments, to hide the source of funds, to impersonate another person, or to interfere with the site. Identity documents and account data may be used for the checks described in the Compliance page and the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use of the account after the update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can go to support@jptrustfinancing.io.
